Blythe Bluegrass Festival
January 15 to January 17, 2010 - 9:00 to Dark.. "Colorado River Fair Grounds". 591 N. Olive Lake Blvd, Blythe, California, 92225. Featuring: Featuring SWBA Member Bands, Lonesome Otis, Headline Bluegrass Band, and Whistle Stop, PLUS The Larry Stephenson Band, Junior Sisk and Ramblers Choice, High Plains Tradition, Spring Creek, Audie Blaylock and Redline, Williams and Clark Expedition,Midnight Flight. and much more!

Continuous performances on two stages, Blythe's Bluegrass event is the first festival of the season and one of the biggest Bluegrass events in the U.S.A. Get ready for two huge stages, jam-packed with musicians, all day long for 3 full days. Event goers also enjoy the contests, quilt show, food, merchandise booths. You can bring RV and stay at the Fairgrounds or nearby RV Resorts, or stay at one of Blythe's 1000+ motel rooms. More than 13,500 folks attended the 3-day event last year, with many folks arriving the Monday before the weekend for jam sessions around the campgrounds every night throughout the week. Every year an array of vendors hold shop at the festival. Be sure to stop by the various booths for some excellent merchandise and don't forget to try out all the great food options that are available.

Wintergrass
February 25 to February 28, 2010 - All Day Each Day.. "Hyatt Regency Bellevue". 900 Bellevue Way NE, Bellevue, Washington, 98004. Featuring: Lonesome River Band, Steep Canyon Rangers, Tim O'Brien, Kenny and Amanda Smith, John Reischman & The Jaybirds, Dry Branch Fire Squad, Marley's Ghost, Sawmill Road, Seldom Scene, The Wilders, Mountain Heart, Joe Craven and much more!

Don't forget the Wintergrass 2010 Songwriting Contest deadline is January 15th. Rooms are filling fast so make sure you get your reservations at The Bellevue Hyatt Regency and make sure you tell them if you want a quiet floor or a picking floor. Old Town Temecula Bluegrass Festival
March 20 to March 22, 2010 - All Day Sat. and Sun... "Old Town Temecula". 26465 Old Town Front Street, Temecula, California, 92590. Featuring: Bluegrass Etc., The Alan Munde Gazette, The Silverado Bluegrass Band, Hunt Family Bluegrass, Sligo Rags, Gone Tomorrow, Highway 76, The Bluegrass Brethren and much more!

Plenty of great concerts, jamming, workshops, food, shopping, wine tasting, casino gambling and more.

Special Saturday evening concert with Alan Munde, Bluegrass Etc. and The Silverado Bluegrass Band at the Old Town Temecula Community Theater. There will be a small charge for this concert. All other concerts and workshops are FREE!

For camping reservations call 951.678.0831. Camping sites are limited so please get your reservations early! Dry camping is $24.00 total for Friday and Saturday nights and $36.00 total if you decide to stay Thursday or Sunday night. All 4 nights would be $48.00. You can decide there for Sunday. Group camping is welcome.

San Diego Bluegrass & Folk Club Campout & Jam

San Diego North County Bluegrass and Folk Club will be having the summer campout at Butterfield Ranch RV Resort, Julian California. You need not be a musician to participate in this family-oriented weekend. We have special group rates, hence make your reservations in advance through the Club. More info - download the application flyer from www.northcountybluegrass.org. You will find a weekend of enjoyment. We will have a barbecue grill hot and waiting upon your suppertime arrival Friday, then join a jam in air conditioned facilities. Saturday - workshops, a band scramble, and a potluck. Saturday band scramble - get ready to join a band you never known existed before. Grinners get out your voting pencil, because you are now judges. Sunday - a Gospel Jam and sing. Handicap friendly.
