Reprinted From January 1999 Issue of "Country music news" "Walden Dahl" Syracuse New York - born, San Francisco, California raised singer/songwriter Walden Dahl has had his songs recorded by the full spectrum of bluegrass acts ranging from Ralph Stanley to Alison Krauss (who recently used the Walden Dahl song, So Long, So Wrong, as the title track and hit single of her latest album. On the album Walden Dahl mixes some of his original songs with old-time classics and some more contemporary tunes. Versions of Marty Robbins' Devil Woman and Bobby Bare's 500 Miles From Home are especially effective. Highlights also come in versions of the Pete Goble -penned songs Big Spike Hammer (this is not a Rap artist) and Colleen Malone.
